iGaming Expert & Technology Strategist
I do not aim to build the loudest product. My focus is on creating systems that work reliably under real conditions. These systems are designed to scale without breaking, adapt to changing markets without unnecessary complexity, and retain users without constant pressure from promotions. What defines my approach is consistency and long-term thinking. When a platform behaves predictably, users develop trust and continue to engage. In an industry driven by rapid change and competition, stability becomes a key advantage. Rather than chasing attention, I prioritise performance, structure, and user confidence — elements that sustain growth over time.

My Journey in iGaming

I am Uri Poliavich, and my path into the iGaming industry was never about chasing trends. It was about understanding systems — how users behave, how platforms scale, and how technology can shape long-term engagement rather than short-term attention.

From the very beginning of my career, I was drawn to digital environments where user interaction could be measured, analysed, and improved. I did not start in gambling specifically. I started in online business ecosystems where performance, retention, and product-market fit were the only metrics that mattered. Those early experiences shaped the way I approach everything today.

Early Thinking: Systems Over Features

When I first explored the online gaming space, I noticed a consistent pattern. Most platforms were built around acquisition. Bonuses, flashy designs, aggressive promotions — all designed to bring users in. But very few were designed to keep them.

That gap defined my direction.

I became interested in how to build platforms that behave predictably, scale efficiently, and create a controlled environment for users. Not just entertainment — but systems.

This mindset eventually led me to establish Soft2Bet in 2016.

Building Soft2Bet: From Concept to Infrastructure

When I founded Soft2Bet, the goal was not to create another casino brand. The goal was to build infrastructure — a foundation that operators could use to run efficient, compliant, and scalable gaming businesses.

From day one, we focused on three areas:

  • Platform architecture
  • User lifecycle management
  • Market adaptability

Instead of building isolated features, we designed interconnected systems. Payments, bonuses, games, compliance — everything had to work together.

That approach allowed us to expand rapidly across regulated markets.

Product Philosophy: Gamification as a System

One of the central elements of my work is gamification, but I do not approach it as a simple feature layered onto a product. I treat it as a core part of the platform’s infrastructure — something that shapes how users interact with the system over time.

In many cases, platforms rely on bonuses as isolated incentives designed to trigger short-term activity. My approach is different. I integrate these incentives into a broader progression framework where every action contributes to a larger user journey. This transforms the experience from a series of disconnected sessions into a continuous, structured interaction.

At Soft2Bet, we implemented mechanics that allow users to move through levels, unlock achievements, and engage with a wider platform ecosystem rather than just individual games. These elements are not decorative — they are functional components of user retention and engagement design.

This structure creates continuity. Instead of users logging in only to claim bonuses, they return to continue progress. Over time, this leads to more stable and predictable behavior patterns.

The outcome is not just increased retention, but a more controlled and measurable engagement model where user activity becomes consistent rather than reactive.

Scaling Across Regulated Markets

One of the most complex challenges in iGaming is regulation. Each market operates under different rules, Regulatory environments vary widely in requirements and expectations, but instead of avoiding this complexity, I designed our systems to adapt to it. At Soft2Bet, we focus on integrating KYC automation, AML compliance frameworks, local payment solutions, and responsible gaming tools directly into the platform architecture. This approach enables operators to enter regulated markets efficiently without the need to rebuild core infrastructure for each jurisdiction. As a result, businesses gain operational stability and scalability, while users benefit from a more secure and transparent experience. Ultimately, compliance is not treated as a limitation, but as a structural advantage that supports long-term growth and trust. One of the most complex challenges in iGaming is regulation. Technology as Competitive Advantage

In many industries, marketing is the primary driver of success. In iGaming, however, I see technology as the factor that determines long-term survival. We invest heavily in backend infrastructure because that is where real performance is defined. This includes payment routing optimization to ensure fast and reliable transactions, real-time data analytics to monitor user behavior, advanced segmentation engines to personalise experiences, and modular platform architecture for scalability.

These elements remain invisible to the user, yet they directly shape how the platform behaves. Speed, stability, and consistency are not marketing messages — they are technical outcomes. A platform that processes payments efficiently, loads without delay, and maintains predictable performance will always outperform one that relies purely on promotions to retain users.

My Approach to User Behavior

I do not view users as simple traffic metrics; I see them as patterns that reflect how a system performs in real conditions. Every interaction — each click, session, deposit, or withdrawal — generates data that can be analysed to refine the platform. This continuous feedback loop is essential for building systems that evolve intelligently over time.

However, there is a clear boundary in how this data is used. The objective is not manipulation, but optimisation. We focus on improving the structure of the experience rather than influencing decisions in an artificial way.

Our systems are designed to reduce friction, streamline navigation, and increase clarity at every step. When processes are intuitive and predictable, users do not need to question how the platform works. That understanding creates confidence, and confidence leads to longer, more consistent engagement.

Industry Challenges I Focus On

Throughout my career, several recurring challenges have consistently shaped my approach to building platforms. These include unpredictable withdrawal processes, weak user retention, overly complex interfaces, and fragmented regulatory environments across different markets. Each of these issues impacts both user trust and operational stability.

I do not treat them as isolated problems that can be fixed with quick adjustments or superficial features. Instead, they require structural solutions at the system level. This means redesigning processes, improving infrastructure, and aligning technology with real user expectations. My focus has always been on addressing these core weaknesses to create platforms that are stable, transparent, and scalable in the long term.

What Makes My Approach Different

There are many successful companies in iGaming, but most operate within similar frameworks and priorities. What differentiates my approach is consistency in how decisions are made and systems are built. I focus on stability rather than short-term growth spikes, prioritise systems over isolated features, and value retention more than aggressive acquisition strategies. Transparency is also more important to me than marketing narratives. This approach may not deliver immediate or explosive results, but it builds a foundation for sustainable growth. Over time, consistent performance, predictable systems, and user trust create significantly more long-term value than short-lived success driven by temporary tactics.

Key Principles I Follow

At this stage of my career, my philosophy can be summarised in several core principles:

1. Predictability Creates Trust

Users stay where systems behave consistently.

2. Speed Is a Feature

Payments, navigation, and response time define experience.

3. Simplicity Wins

Complex systems should feel simple to the user.

4. Regulation Is Not a Barrier

It is a framework for sustainable growth.

5. Gamification Is Infrastructure

Not a bonus — a system.

My Contribution to iGaming

If I evaluate my impact objectively, I would not associate it with a single product, brand, or short-term success. Instead, it is reflected in how platforms are designed, structured, and operated at a systemic level. My contributions focus on building frameworks that influence long-term performance rather than immediate results.

This includes introducing structured gamification systems that go beyond traditional бонус logic, improving retention mechanics at the platform level, and developing scalable infrastructure that allows operators to grow without constant rebuilding. I have also prioritised compliance-first expansion strategies, ensuring that growth aligns with regulatory requirements from the start.

Perhaps most importantly, I have helped shift the industry’s perspective from aggressive acquisition to full lifecycle management. These changes are not always visible on the surface, but they shape how modern iGaming platforms function and evolve over time.

What Defines My Work

I do not aim to build the loudest or most aggressively marketed product. My focus is on building systems that function reliably under real conditions. For me, success is defined by performance over time, not by short-term visibility.

The systems I design are built to scale without breaking, to adapt to new markets and regulations without unnecessary complexity, and to retain users without applying pressure through constant promotions. This requires careful architectural planning, continuous optimisation, and a deep understanding of how users interact with platforms.

What defines my work is consistency. When a system behaves predictably, users trust it. And in an industry characterised by constant change, shifting regulations, and evolving expectations, stability becomes a form of innovation in itself — not visible at first glance, but critical in the long run.
